A lot of people are asking me about the craft movies I love, and it’s time to take a look at a list of movies that have made the leap from indie to blockbuster in the last year.
The list is divided by genre (for instance, the indie films above) and includes a few new favorites like Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Avengers: Infinity War.
The reason for this is because most of these movies have a different premise than the genre movies they’re trying to emulate.
For example, the sci-fi film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is set during the Rebel Alliance era, but the plot revolves around an intergalactic pirate band led by an anti-hero named Ben Kenobi.
In the case of Rogue One, the film follows a crew of rebels that goes into space, and their ship, Rogue 1, is boarded by the First Order.
The crew members find themselves on a planet called Jakku, where a Jedi named Luke Skywalker has been recruited by the evil General Grievous.
It’s an interesting premise for a movie about a Jedi being recruited by a villain, but it’s just not enough to get people excited.
Instead, Rogue one was an absolute blast, and I still watch it on a regular basis.
If you’re looking for a sci-fied adventure that is an easy-going take on Star Wars, look no further.
You can also check out the indie movies above, as well as a few of the new movies that were released this year.
If the first list doesn’t get you excited about the genre films that are on this list, I suggest you check out The Martian and its sequel, Arrival.
There’s also the long-running, critically acclaimed indie film, Black Panther, that is still one of my favorites.
There is a lot to love in Black Panther and I can’t wait for the sequel, which will be released in 2019.
What are you most excited about coming out of the year?
